The Network Computing Research Center (NCRC) was established in September 2003. It is one of the earliest research centers established in Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen). There are 4 full-time teachers in our research center, including 2 doctoral supervisors, 1 professors and 3 associate professors. Until now, more than 100 doctoral students and master students have graduated from our center, and worked in well-known IT companies (Huawei, Ali, Tencent, Baidu, etc.), as well as 985, 211 and other key universities.
The main research areas of the center include: computer networks, traffic engineering, computer vision, intelligent robots, embedded computing, internet of things technology, deep learning algorithms and architecture research, anomaly detection, sequential pattern mining and data-driven network information security, etc. The center has diverse research directions, sufficient research funding, and a strong academic atmosphere. It is a united, enterprising and hardworking team.
So far, the center has undertaken a number of National Natural Science Foundation, National 863 Plan, National Innovation Fund, Guangdong Science and Technology Plan, Shenzhen Key Basic Research Projects, and many enterprise cooperation projects. The research teams has obtained 58 authorized invention patents and 15 software copyrights, and published 2 books and more than 220 papers in academic journals and conferences, of which more than 170 papers were indexed by SCI/EI. The research center has established the "Shenzhen Key Technology and Application System Integration Engineering Laboratory for the Internet of Things" and the "National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data Collaborative Security Technology(Shenzhen Branch)". It has maintained long-term academic exchanges and cooperation with many well-known scientific research institutions and enterprises.
