The Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Internet Information Collaboration is a municipal key laboratory of the Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality established at Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen (HITSZ).  This Research Centre is dedicated to focus on three research themes, namely, 1) Big Data Technology and Applications, 2) Data Mining and Business Intelligence, and 3) Data Science and Service Computing.

The “Big Data Technology and Applications” theme mainly focuses on developing novel technologies for collection, processing, analysis, mining, and visualization technologies of multi-source, heterogeneous, and cross-domain big data, and employing these technologies on building innovative specific domain applications, such as application systems using satellite big data, Internet big data, and business big data. The “Data Mining and Business Intelligence” theme typically studies the intelligent evaluation of the credibility and information quality of heterogeneous information (including text, image, and video). The “Data Science and Service Computing” theme generally involves in devising creative technologies and application systems for supporting online to offline (O2O), facilitating the intelligent collaboration of online information in the Internet and offline information (including real-time information collaboration) in logistics and supply chain management.

The Research Centre currently has nearly 100 researchers. It has established international collaboration with renowned universities and research institutions all over the globe, including the United States, the European Union, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, offering the modern international research and teaching environment to students. In addition, the Research Centre stresses the research training as part of the student education, and has strong ties to the industry. The research findings have been extensively used under the industrialization promotion and application programme in some government and enterprise units, such as the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA), Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, and Meteorological Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality.
